MILAN FASHION WEEK (PART 2)

MONDAY - PART 3

I love this collection, it reminds me of Matthew Williamson, but with a bit of a edge. I also like all the details that went into the clothes, this collection was clearly laboured over.

THE NEW GUY AT PUCCI:
PETER DUNDAS
Since Matthew Williamson decided to leave Pucci and concentrate on his own line they got former Emmanuel Ungaro designer Peter Dundas to take the ropes. I do like this collection, but it looks a little downplayed for Pucci, although I know it is for fall. I hope to see some bright colors again when spring comes around.

If I had the money I wouldn't buy Prada anyway, it's well known that Miuccia Prada has one of the worst track records when it comes to diversity on the Runway. Nearly ten years went by bewteen Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn walking the runway for Prada last season. Liu Wen would have looked gorgeous in one of the embelished dresses. What is she afraid of? We live in a diverse world with diverse people, wake up!

They are so good with embelished clothing and chunky necklaces, I love Marni's modern take on everything.

I'm not really a Cavalli fan, but for me this collection was a miss apart from the studded dress in the middle.

THE CAVALLI FAMILY
Rachele Cavalli, Roberto Cavalli and Eva Cavalli.

Mila Jovovich.
Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar.

They executed the 40s with a bit of an edge perfectly.
